Welcome to the website for Rural Livelihood Risk Management Consulting (RLRMC)! We hope that by going through the contents of this website via the links in the tabs at the top of each page, you’ll understand more about the types of things that we do to encourage risk-managed community development through participatory integrated disaster, climate change, and development vulnerability reduction and resilience strengthening. And we hope that this will inspire you to be potentially interested in collaborating or connecting us to others for such collaboration. Accordingly, the ‘About’ page provides a verbal and graphical explanation of our general approach.

The category pages provide more information about the types of work that we do in:
• Prospective risk-managed community development focusing on improving access now in a way that minimizes access disruptions now and in the future, including community resilience strengthening through adaptive strategies for sustainable livelihoods and basic social services access (Prospective Risk Managed Development);
• Integrated Risk Identification, Analysis, & Assessment toward Mainstreamed Risk-Informed Decision-Making including and livelihood, food, nutrition, and social service access security, including Dynamic Household Economy Analysis [HEA] (Integrated Risk Assessment);
• Community-Based Risk Management, including community-based disaster risk management and community-based climate change adaptation (CBRM/CBA);
• Integrated Participatory Risk Communication and Community Engagement to Improve Local Decision-Making and Action, including effective risk and good practices communication approaches such as participatory and hybrid tools incorporating contests, the arts, and video (RCCE); and
• Risk-Managed Decision-Making of People Engaged in Nomadic Migration, Displacement, Resettlement, and/or Return including factors affecting choices regarding staying, migrating, or assimilating of displaced persons and potentially relocated persons (Migration)
